I will stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As the two fighters met for the traditional stare-down, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
